Finca La Leona (“The Lioness Farm”) in Planadas, southern Tolima, was run by Don Afranio Enciso and his son, who spent years improving their coffee. Their work earned them an incredible 8th place in Colombia’s 2015 Cup of Excellence, before tragedy struck with his son’s death.

After his son’s death, Don Afranio Enciso stepped away from coffee and left Finca La Leona abandoned for two years. His daughter, Laura Enciso, refused to let the family legacy fade and worked for years to rebuild the farm. Today, Don Enciso manages daily operations and supports the field workers, while Laura runs the business side. Their inspiring partnership drew us to their coffee, and the quality seals the deal. This fully washed Colombian Caturra is a dependable “daily driver”—rich, bold, clean, and balanced, with gentle brightness and sweetness. Expect chocolate, caramel, vanilla, and cashew notes.
